As the weather gets warmer, everybody just wants to head outdoors. This is especially true about barbecue or grilling parties where you can enjoy fun times under the sun or under the stars.

Add more fun and spice to your outdoor get-togethers this summer by checking out this summer grilling recipe. The Grilled Chicken with Lemon and Oregano is perfect this summer! You need ingredients such as 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest, 2 tablespoons olive oil, ¼ cup fresh oregano finely chopped, 4 chicken halves or 2 whole chickens split, ground pepper and coarse salt, Oregano sprigs, and 4 lemons halved crosswise.

In a small bowl, make marinade by whisking together oregano, lemon zest and juice, oil, 2 teaspoons coarse salt and 1-teaspoon pepper. Divide marinade between two big resealable plastic bags, placing 2 chicken halves on each bag. Shake the bag to coat and marinade at room temperature for thirty minutes, turning the bags occasionally. Preheat the grill to medium heat and oil the grates lightly. Remove chicken and pat dry with paper towels, place chicken with skin side up on the grill. Cover and cook until lightly browned and cook for about twenty minutes. Turn over, cover and cook for ten to fifteen minutes. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board, tent with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes. Place lemon halves on the grill with the cut side down, cook from 8 to 10 minutes. Cut the chicken in half, serve with the grilled lemon halves and garnish with oregano if desired.
